Komodo Triangle dress

The original Komodo Triangle dress got it's first outing aboard the luxurious phinisi Alexa. A phinisi is a traditional wooden boat used in Indonesia for carrying spices. This one has been revamped as a romantic hideaway for two. Needing some nautical chic this triangle dress was cool and breezy to wear - perfect for on board. FREE PATTERN: FRIDA HUIPIL for the V&A

We are very excited to have created an exclusive free pattern for the V&A museum in London to compliment the exhibition Frida Kahlo: Making Herself Up. Our Frida Huipil pattern is inspired by the traditional style of Mexican tunic (huipil) worn by the artist Frida Kahlo. Essentially these garments are a rectangle of folded over fabric with a hole cut out for the head; the joy of this design is that you add your embellishment whilst the fabric is still flat, making it easy to sew.
