Jumpsuits, boilersuits, dungarees, all-in-ones, unitards, overalls, flightsuits, onesies... we've got you covered from top-to-toe! This class will show you how to combine a bodice and trouser block to create them all.
From a glamourous halterneck to a practical cover-up - the joy of a one-piece garment reaches into every corner of the wardrobe. If you've never tried one due to fears of saggy crotches or uncomfortable camel toes - we will covert you! If you're a jumpsuit queen already we'll show you endless design possibilities.
We'll provide you with base trouser and bodice blocks (sizes UK 6-26) to use as the starting point of your design.

The class will cover fit, design, finishes and fabrics:
FIT
The key fitting area for a jumpsuit is getting the right body length for both comfort and design. We'll discuss all the options for a fit that's both flattering and comfortable.
DESIGN
Mix and match trouser and bodice styles to your hearts content! We'll give you tons of inspiration to convert your whole closet into all-in-ones
FINISHES
Shimmy in with stretch or fasten with zips, buttons or snaps - we'll discuss the pros and cons of getting in and out of your jumpsuit with ease and elegance.
FABRICS
There's so many possibilities - from cosy corduroy to practical cotton twill, to disco-ready shimmery lurex - we'll show you lots of examples and leave you feeling fabric-savvy.
Please note this is primarily a pattern drafting class rather than a sewing class, however we will discuss and demonstrate a range of making up and finishing techniques.
HOW THE CLASS WORKS
The class will take place as a live video meeting via Zoom so you can interact and ask questions along the way.
Once you sign up you will receive a download which includes all the details of how to join our course platform where you can access the private class community and download everything you need for the class.
On the morning of the class you will receive a direct link to join via Zoom. Please note that you will need to be subscribed up to our newsletter in order to receive emails from us (there is a checkbox when you sign up for the class)
The class will be recorded and hosted in our own private online community (not facebook!), so you can go over it in your own time, and continue to ask questions after the live session. The recording will be available to you forever.
THE BLOCK/SLOPER
We will provide you with bodice and trouser blocks to follow along with the class. The blocks are based on the Telestia system we always use for our patterns to ensure a good fit for most figures. The size range is UK 6 to 26.
It will be beneficial, but not essential to take the ALL ABOUT TROUSERS class alongside this one, as that one will go more in-depth into fitting the trouser block.
The blocks will be downloadable as a pdf in paper sizes A4, US letter and A0.
